XXVI BIENNIAL SCULPTURE EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION – SPAIN 2010

Any sculptor can participate to this XXVI Biennial sculpture exhibition and competition in Spain, with works in any style and with free thematic. The works will be realized in definitive material.  First prize of Euro 6.000 / Second prize of Euro 3.600.

BIENNIAL OF PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND PHOTOGRAPHY - SPAIN


Deadline: October 15 th 2010   

For this International VII Biennale of the Basketballin Fine Arts 2010, Painting, Sculpture and Photography, the works will have asonly thematic the Basketball in all of its aspects. Every author can introducea maximum of two works.   

- Painting: The introduced works won't have to exceedthe 2,00 x 1,50 metersin height or in width, and they must be duly sent framed by a wood bar whosewidth doesn't exceed the 3 cm.   

- Sculpture: The introduced works won't have to exceedthe 2 metershigh and the 1,50 metersof width and their weight won't have to exceed  the 500 Kgs.   

- Photography: max. 200 cmin the longest side, and the shortest side will have to be at least 50 cm.   

Bugdet of  Euro 24.040for the purchase of the works. The participation is open to everybody.

IV PRIZE OF FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE - SPAIN


Deadline: October 1 st 2010   

For this IV prize of Figurative Sculpture, everyartist can introduce one work, of free thematic, without limit of volume, but alwaysin the formality of Figurative Art that will have to gather the followingconditions: to be original, realized in a definitive material and not have beenwinning in any other contest. AWARD FOR GLASS SCULPTURES - GERMANY


Deadline: 15 October 2010
The Award 2011 is awarded to artists who make significant use of glass in theirworks.
The artists whoparticipate should not be older than 40, and their work (sculptures, objects)should not be older than 2 years. Each participant can present up to threeworks.
The Jutta Cuny-Franz Memorial Award is endowed with 10000 Euro. Two talent awards are endowed with1500 Euro each. Awards may be split between contributions of equal rank.
Prizes will be presented in Spring 2011. The winning contributions and a choiceof further applications will be published in the “New Glass” journal.

XVI ART PRIZE - ANDORRA


Deadline:September 26th 2010   

Any artist,residents or not in the Principality of Andorra, can participate in thiscontest and access the prizes. Theme, technique and dimensions of thesculptures are free. Every artist can introduce only one work. First prize of3.000 Euro and  second prize of Euro1.200.    

Thevernissage and the awarding will be taking place in the art centre ofEscaldes-Engordany on the 8 of October 2010 at 20h. At the same time, the exhibitionwith all the selected works will be inaugurated and it will last from the 8th  to the 30th of October in the same room.

SCULPTURE PRIZE - SPAIN


Deadline: 17th September  2011   

Artists of anynationalities or residence can participate to this sculpture prize. Techniqueand theme are free. Every artist can introduce two recent works,original,unpublished, not signed. The sculptures won't have to exceed the 100 cms. inany dimension, width, height, depth. In case a special assemblage is needed,authors will have to attach the instructions for the installation of the work.The transport of the work is responsibility of every competitor.    

First General Prize: 4.000Euro and commemorative sculpture.    

Second general Prize:1.500Euro and commemorative sculpture.        

Local participants can competefor the following prize:   

First Local Prize: 1.000Euro and commemorative sculpture.   

Local artists areconsidered those people who are resident in the organizing town hall.   

The winning works willremain ownership of the Town hall. The authors will sign the works and willsurrender the rights of exploitation to said entity.   

Delivery of the prizes: 1of October 2010, hours  20:00 hs.,coinciding with the inauguration of the exhibition in the town room of exhibitions"La Casona".The selected works will remain exhibited from the 1st to the 31st of October2010. It will be published a catalogue with the winning works and a DVD withthe selected works.

OPEN AIR SCULPTURE CONTEST - SPAIN


Deadline: October 22nd2010   

A Municipality in Spain announcesthe 1st open air sculpture contest.

The participation to thepresent contest is open to all the artists resident in Spain, of any nationalities.The contest will take place at open air for two weeks, from November 19th  to December 03th 2010. The organization willcontact the 3 artists whose projects have been selected at least 2 weeks beforethe beginning of the event. The technique and the materials to be used for therealization of the sculptures will be completely free, although the realizedsculptures will have to be connected with the environment of the municipality, usingautochtonous materials and  resources, orreflecting on a local subject, theme. The food and the lodging of the participatingartists will be paid by the organization of the event.   

The materials to be usedfor the realization of the correspondent project / sculpture must be providedby the artist.   

1º Prize: 2.000 Euro 

2º Prize: 1.000 Euro

3º Prize:    500 Euro

SCULPTURE RESIDENCY - USA


 A Sculpture Parkin United States has created the opportunity for artists to create new work inresidency. Sculpture, site-specific, multi-media, and installation areconsidered.  Artists may be in residence at FSP from 3 weeks to 3 months,whatever it takes to pull off an ambitious new project.6 artists or artistteams will be invited to come and create new work in a public outdoor setting.Opportunities for financial assistance include funded FSP/Jerome fellowshipsranging from $3,000 to $5,000. This opportunity is for a residency for emergingprofessional artists only.
